Catholic University Encounters
For college students and professors
The University Encounters were created to enable a search for truth through the synthesis of knowledge, the dialogue of faith and reason, and facilitate an integral formation at the service of the person and society.
The University Encounters were born out of the observation of a need: the search for the truth by synthesizing knowledge of different fields, facilitating an integral formation that is at the service of man and society. Lydia Jiménez, along with other professors from different universities in Spain, started these Encounters in order to make Christ present in the forum of Higher Education. The first Encounter was held in Javier (Navarra) in 1977. Since then, many Encounters have been carried out both in Spain and in other countries. In Peru, Colombia, Chile, Mexico, Germany and Ireland, the Crusaders of Mary have incorporated these Encounters into their university apostolic activity.
The most unique feature of these Encounters, besides the academic activities, is the opportunity to spend time together and dialogue both professors and students as well as the sharing of experiences of university apostolate.
